Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the worst kind of dictator. One who denies the WWII holocaust despite Iranian citizens being outright murdered in it. He often smugly poses while making a peace sign. That is the gist of this work. He is really saying fuck peace every time he does it.

I have been working on a new project recently, and this work was the second that I created on my iPad with a stylus. Normally, I am all about painting with acrylic on canvas, but now with my iPad and new project I have begun learning a new medium.

I really like how on an iPad I have hundreds of brushes to choose from and each layer dries instantly. It is mind blowing the amount of variables I can control and the things I can create. This work may look a bit like a photo, but it is pretty sloppy when you zoom in on the high resolution version. (The image below is taken from a similar work on did featuring Putin.)

As you can see I am not trying to incorporate any realism in the face, it just ends up looking that way, and is only apparent when you zoom out. It is much like an oil painting in that I use many thin layers to build up the work...except it takes a day instead of a month, and I won't get cancer from inhaling the awful fumes.

Years ago I switched to exclusively using acrylic paints as this is the future of canvas art, and now I realize that digital is the future of most mainstream art. It is really just incredible that all any artist needs now is $300 and they are good to go for the rest of their creative lives!
